Lenovo Will Produce Their Own Mobile Processor



Hardware manufacturer Lenovo will manufacture its own processors for mobile devices and tablets. Media EE Times reported that China-based company will employ 40 technicians in Shenzhen and 60 in Beijing, now, the team will gradually be extended to 100 technicians in mid-2013.

The initiative was driven ambition to control the fate of their company in the market these devices as smart phones and tablet Huawei with Hisilicon division.

Previously, Lenovo has used the processor components from various suppliers such as MediaTek MT6573 at Lenovo A60 and Exynos 4 in K860. Lenovo also uses an Intel Atom dual-core processor K900 series sailed on the 5.5 inches and the Lenovo K800 with Atom processor Z2580. But, Lenovo encounter problems when Samsung Electronics refused to supply the new Exynos processor to the Chinese company. As known, the Lenovo smartphone market in 2012 grew to 13.2% and Samsung has come closer with 17.7% market share.
