Windows Phone 8 Only Until 2014?


The news reported from the Microsoft site states that the operating system of Windows Phone 7, and 8 users will continue to get the latest updates for os each up support ended in 2014. However, Microsoft is committed to continue to provide updates on the Windows Phone operating system version 7.8 and 8, during the next 18 months, including the reform of the security sector. Microsoft will distribute Windows Phone updates through a third party, namely mobile operators and handset manufacturers.

Microsoft in an announcement saying "Distribution updates can be controlled by the mobile operator or phone manufacturer, where you buy the phone. Availability update will also vary by country, region, and hardware capabilities,"

For exact date itself, Microsoft said that Windows Phone 7.x based devices will get security updates until 9 September 2014. As for devices based on Windows Phone 8 will receive security updates and other support until July 8, 2014. After all the support for devices based on Windows Phone 7 and 8 ended in 2014, Microsoft still has not provided any information.

There are rumors that the next Windows Phone will undergo a major change by the end of 2013. Many analysts predict that prior support for both mobile os will have released a new mobile os.
