Nexus 7 New Generation Dismantled by iFixit


As usual, if there's a new interseting smartphone or tablet, iFixit always after it to disassembled for the site . Now turn the new Google Nexus 7 is demolished, and only rated 7 out of 10 for ease of repair rate. Thinner, longer and not as wide as the first generation, the latest Nexus tablet has a rear cover is textured and can no longer be solved using a plastic tool to disassemble it. There is a little glue is applied in most of the body of the tablet, is not difficult.

Battery Nexus 7 has an inductive charging coil, considering this tablet supports wireless charging. Texas Instruments BQ51013B an inductive charging controller used this tablet. While the battery is glued firmly, the motherboard is the easy part is pulled out by iFixit. Inside are J4216EFBG Elpida SDRAM, NAND Flash and produced by SK Hynix.

Overall iFixit stated this tablet easily opened and repaired, the only one annoying problem is the LCD glass, which requires a heat gun to remove it.
