Review: Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 i9200

If you think the Galaxy Note II handset is a smartphone / phabet with the biggest screen from Samsung, a long wait for the Samsung International has not officially released the new Galaxy family members code-named Mega. There are two products that represent the name Mega which has a screen size of 5.8 and 6.3 inches. This time we will conduct a preliminary review of the handset Galaxy Mega 6.3 (i9200) which is already present in our office. With super jumbo screen size for a smartphone and a pretty powerful specs.

Samsung was credited with the original design for the Galaxy S 3 smartphone some time ago, but it seems that this company makes less creative in designing further products. Seen from the latest collections of mobile devices they are likely to design a uniform that distinguishes only motive and body size alone. It also affects to the 6.3 Mega's Galaxy handsets which in terms of handset design looks exactly like the Galaxy S 4 are increased in size. Galaxy Mega 6.3 has dimensions 167.6 x 88 x 8 mm and weighs 199 grams. Despite having a slim body but to hold and operate with one hand it seems difficult, especially the glossy surface of the body so slick handset will very likely fall if hands are sweating and also easily attached fingerprints. For portability issues to note, because the jumbo size is almost the same as the 7-inch tablet, it will be very uncomfortable if you carry one device is in your pocket, unless you put it into the bag. Motif used is also exactly like the Galaxy S 4, it's just the plaid look at the Galaxy Mega perpendicular unlike the Galaxy S 4 menylang.

With a screen size of 6.3-inch TFT type is appropriate that Samsung provide HD resolution and that's a fact, it's just not FullHD 1080p 720p. So the HD resolution does not seem overwhelming. Quality of the screen itself we can say very good for the size of the LCD, the display screen looks bright, bright, and colorful.

Interfaces used are the same as in the Galaxy S 4, using the latest TouchWiz UI coupled with the Android 4.2 operating system. Quite a lot of the features that exist in the Galaxy S 4 6.3 Mega Galaxy also present, as far as we see Smart Pause, Smart Scroll, and Air Gesture absent, the rest such as Multi-window, Water View, Smart Stay, Smart Rotation and others present here .

Jellybean 4.2 with basic features plus special features the Samsung TouchWiz interface is very functional and has many additional benefits compared to the interface of the other competitors. Samsung also smart this time pinning animation themed light and air (since the Galaxy S 4), so that the interface looks alive and attractive eyes to see it.

For lockscreen and homescreen there is no difference with what is on the Galaxy S 4. Still the same as the ability to put widgets on the lockscreen and homescreen. Notification window also comes with a lot of shortcuts to various menu settings either of connectivity, screen, until the special features of the Samsung. By holding the home button will still bring up the same window with additional recent apps shortcuts to Google Now, and running apps

Galaxy Mega has two cameras, 1.9MP front camera and 8MP rear camera (3264x2448 pixels), autofocus, LED flash accompanied. Many of the features embedded in the camera, you could say close to what's in digital cameras. Call it like the selection of shooting modes (auto, beauty, best photo, continuous shot, etc.), anti-shake, timer, share, and others. By default the camera will take pictures in 16:9 ratio which will reduce the maximum resolution is only 6MP course, if you change the ratio to 4:3 the camera will use the full 8MP resolution. With 8MP resolution camera, of the Galaxy Mega can perform up to 1080p HD recording. Camera and video recording has become one interface. When you are recording at the same time you can take pictures and can also temporarily stop the video recording (pause) just continue it later. Results of the recording will be saved in the MP4 format.

Galaxy Mega walk in quadband GSM network 850/900/1800/1900 and HSDPA without support LTE (LTE version of the GT-I9205). For local connectivity there is WiFi 802. 11 a / b / g / n / ac, Bluetooth v4.0 LE (power saving), NFC, A-GPS GLONASS, ON Infrared to Watch feature, which supports MHL microUSB v2.0 and USB on-the-go, and microSD support up to 64GB.
