Since Steve Jobs first introduced the Apple iPad in 2010, the global market share for tablet category dominated by the iOS tablet. While it is not the first tablet, but the iPad is generating popularity of tablet PCs, to be followed by another OS such as Android and Windows.

In the second quarter of this year, the iPad still dominates the tablet market with a share of 35.5 percent, according to figures TrendForce. But this is the lowest point in their dominance in the tablet market. IPad sales in three quarter (three quarter of fiscal year according to Apple) has reached 14.6 million, down from number 17 million in the same period. For the fourth quarter of Apple's fiscal year, the figure is expected to drop to below 10 million units.

Even so, it still ranked joint 2 to 5 (Samsung, Asus, Acer, Amazon) can not beat the market share and units shipped the Apple iPad. But the threat of Android tablets increasingly felt, especially a few days ago Google announced the Nexus 7 new second generation. Apple to regain lost market share, how is the introduction and launch of the next-generation iPad and the iPad Mini 5 generation 2.
